Working for almost minimum wage hasn't been an issue for me. I love my job, I love the people, and I love what they let me do. I took a short photography course, and took some pretty ok photos, suprising considering I'm a technical guy. Since then I've been running kind of wild with it all, as you can see from my gallery..
I've suddenly realised how fun being an amatuer can be.. Tomorrow I'm heading into London with a journalist friend from back at school, with camera in tow. Something about a Batman flashmob-esque crazy thing. The idea that I could take some awesome photos is a real rush.. I doubt I will but fucking hell will I try.
Two of my friends are also driving to Camaroon in July. In a piece of shit car. Nice. They're not so good with their advertising and drumming up support, so I said I'd take a few promo shots during my week off. Again, something I'd never normally do. It's weird suddenly thinking "I could do this quite well" and support my friends while doing it.
Practice makes perfect, I still need to keep taking photos. Need to get some constructive feedback as well really.. Hard when you haven't got many friends
